Scientific method is an organised method of research that follows a series of steps to solve an identified problem, to simply prove or disprove an aspect of the universe or an idea. Whilst it is called "scientific" the concept of the method can be put to use to solve most problems or ideas.

It involves an issue or idea to be first questioned and brought to light before research and data is collected to gain some knowledge on the topic being investigated. An educated guess, formally known as a hypothesis, is then made which is followed by performing an experiment that will answer the aim. The results produced are analysed to draw up a conclusion on the problem and either supports or discounts the hypothesis.
